Managing Pressure to Build a Resilient Team - Managers Training Workshop

An essential workshop for Managers - Everything managers need to know about building resilience through harnessing pressure, and preventing and managing stress in the workplace

Course Aims
The course is designed to ensure managers are able to understand and work effectively with situations in the workplace arising from stress, in line with the Health & Safety Management Standards.

Course Objectives
By the end of the programme participants will be able to:

Define stress and differentiate between pressure and stress.
State the short and long term effects of stress on the individual and the organisation.
Identify the early warning signs of stress to enable a proactive approach and create an environment where prevention is the keyword.
Carry out informal meetings designed to support the risk assessment process.
Devise strategies for dealing with stress in line with their legal duties and responsibilities as laid out in the new HSE Standards on work-related stress.

Participants will have the tools to:
Set up and undertake a risk assessment
Evaluate the results
Produce agreed action plans jointly with employees to manage/prevent stress.
Identify training needs
Monitor and review
